Privacy & data handling

What we collect

• If you join the waitlist: your email address and the date you joined. Nothing else.
• If you create an account: your email address and a password, held by our authentication provider. We never see the password itself. A display name, if you choose to set one.
• When you practise: a recording of the attempt, and the per-sound scores derived from it. Alongside those, practice metadata — which drill, how many attempts, when, and your streak.
• If you add a WhatsApp number: the number itself. It is optional, the app says so when it asks, and leaving it blank changes nothing else. It is shown only to teachers whose class you have joined with their code, so they can message you about your practice — and you can remove it at any time from the Your class screen in the app.
• If you enquire about an institutional deal: the name, institute, email address, role, cohort size and message you type into the form.
• If you apply for a job: the name, email address, phone number, role, links and cover note you type into the form on /careers, plus the CV you attach. The CV is emailed straight to our hiring inbox and is not stored on our servers — only its filename is recorded, so we can tell whether it arrived.
• When you browse this website: aggregate, non-identifying page analytics. There are no advertising trackers and no cross-site profile.

What a teacher can see

A teacher sees a student's figures only after that student has redeemed the teacher's class join code. Joining is an action the student takes; nobody is added to a class without doing it.

• What they see: your display name, or your email address if you have not set one; your WhatsApp number if you gave one; drills completed; total attempts; your average score; your improvement since joining that class; when you were last active; and the per-sound breakdown — weakest sounds, most improved, score trend, practice activity.
• What they never receive: your recordings. Only the numbers derived from them cross into the teacher console. There is no part of the product that plays a student's audio back to a teacher or to another student.
• Whose classes: only the ones they created themselves. A teacher cannot see another teacher's classroom, and asking for one returns “not found”. That applies to your WhatsApp number exactly as it does to your scores.
• What messaging you means: a teacher's “nudge” button opens WhatsApp on their own device with a message already written. They send it themselves, from their own account. Nadiv does not send messages on their behalf and has no automated messaging.

Who processes it

Each of these acts as a processor on our instructions, for the purpose named:

• Microsoft Azure — speech scoring.
• Supabase — accounts, authentication, and the database holding scores and progress.
• Google Cloud — the API that scores attempts and aggregates progress.
• Vercel — this website and the teacher console, plus storage for waitlist signups, demo enquiries and job applications, and the aggregate page analytics.
• Resend — delivery of the job application email, including the CV attached to it. Nothing else on this site sends email through them.

How long we keep it, and how to remove it

• Practice history is kept for as long as the account exists. Progress over time is the entire point of it — a mastery record with no history cannot show improvement.
• To have an account and its history deleted, email teamnadiv@gmail.com from the address on the account. The same address gets you a copy of your data.
• A WhatsApp number is kept until you remove it. You do not have to ask us: open Your class in the app and tap Remove. It disappears from your teacher's class list at the same time.
• Waitlist and enquiry emails are removed on request. They are not sold, rented or shared, and they are not used for anything but replying to you.
• Job applications are kept for twelve months so we can come back to strong candidates when a role opens, then deleted. Ask sooner and we will delete yours on request — that includes the CV in our inbox, not only the form record.

Students under 18

Academies enrolling students under 18 should talk to us before rolling Nadiv out. Consent is the institution's to obtain from parents or guardians, and we will put the arrangement — including what a teacher sees and how long it is kept — in writing as part of the agreement rather than leaving it to this page.

Changes, and which document wins

This page changes as the product changes; the date at the top is its version. Nadiv is pre-launch, and the pace of change is real.

For an institution, the data-handling terms in the agreement we sign with you take precedence over this page. If something here matters to your procurement process, raise it before signing and we will address it in the agreement itself.
